Tianruo presented a three-minute presentation entitled “Breaking the wall of tetrazine dyes” at the Falling Walls Lab Singapore on 23 August. In this talk, he introduced two main problems faced by tetrazine dyes in click reactions, i.e., controversial fluorescence quenching mechanisms and difficulty in the development of near-infrared tetrazine dyes. He also showed how he used quantum chemical calculations to address these two questions.
