The accolade was bestowed upon Tianruo on March 26, 2024, in recognition of his contributions to the realm of chemical molecules. Nine compounds generated from his research article titled “Methine-Quinoidal Fragment Induces Significant Bathochromic Shifts in Organic Dyes” have been identified as novel substances and assigned unique CAS Registry® Numbers. The associated work was published in J. Phys. Chem. B in 2021, when he was pursuing his Master’s program in Innovation by Design at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. This article introduces a generalizable design approach aimed at developing organic fluorophores with redshifted absorption wavelengths and enhanced molar extinction coefficient while maintaining small molecular sizes. For more information about this article, please check: https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jpcb.0c10752
